I have the same problem. I NEED 3dsMax version 4. I would be willing to purchase a download or CD for a discounted price if it existed. It is required for a plugin that I have to use.However, after an extensive amount of research it appears Autodesk is doing an aggressive takedown of all downloads and even for sale listings of old copies. The only thing I can think of to set them straight at this point is a class action law suit to stop their patent trolling.So Autodesk, as an open letter:1) Please allow us to purchase or download older copies legally.2) If you do not wish to do so, then at least allow us to continue sharing existing copies as abandonware.You're aggressive policy has made legal game development for older games near to impossible.Thank you.
