Hi, my worked perfectly with DD-WRT. It's also going for $68. I paid $69.99 for it on December 31st, 2013.I had version 1.3 for TL-WDR4300. Was able to flash to it just fine despite DD-WRT's website saying it was for version 1 or something like that.Go for that instead!Edited to replace non-Prime link with Prime link, as requested in OP poast.Edit2: You should also be able to find my review there for the product, too.Edit3: Looks like version 2 routers are out now.

Not sure if those're compatible, but I'll attempt getting one next month and verifying.Edit4: Version 2 routers seem to be compatible. I picked up one of these routers (TP-LINK TL-WDR4300) and it arrived last night. I flashed DDWRT first thing, didn't even bother with changing anything in stock before flashing.DDWRT is up and working, however, I'm noticing that wifi coverage is very poor. (on the 2.4Ghz range).

I'm getting only 40% signal quality on 2 devices that are on the same desk as the router (4' away) and 17% on devices out in my living room 20' away. Whereas my E3000 had 80% for the close devices and 45% for the farther away ones.Do you have any insight on to how to get better signal quality out of this router?. So, InSSIDer shows that this new router is only connecting on 802.11-G. I was able to get my E3000 to boot again (I don't know how, lol) but that is showing as a 802.11-N connection. (both of these are on the 2.4Ghz band, as my lappy doesn't have 5Ghz capabilites)Either way, there is only 1 other network around me (randomly) that pops in on Channel 1, and my routers are configured on Channel 6.The old E3000 shows as a higher signal strength of -53 and the new WDR4300 shows as a poor signal strength of -71.
