Mori Seiki Nv 5000 Manual
I am extremely frustrated and I cant find a person in the world with the answer to my problem. My Mori Seiki dealer support eng. Recommended that I post this on CNC Zone and see what happens. 5 months ago I purchased a Mori Seiki M-25 Horizontal Mill with the Mori Fanuc 18M control. I purchased the machine in 'good working condition' but as it turns out, I have a big mess on my hands. I have been spending time and money since because I am in too deep. I have all of the drives repaired, switches and wires repaired and the machine is finally running.
The machine has a 12 pot tool changer but only tools 1-6 can be called. If I try to call tool 7-12 I immediately get an alarmEX0207 'T-code not commanded'. My friend purchased the sister to this machine and he has the identical problem except his machine ran from day one. The machine was purpose built to make certain parts over and over, I think it may relate to tool groups or tool life management but I am really not that experienced to figure it out.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?? In the custom menu under ATC, go into the register page and see if there are tool numbers assigned to the pots 7-12. If not then you can add, or reset tool pot register to factory defualt.

Otherwise, if machine has tool life on, you can delete all groups in tool life menu, and it should work. But from previous experience tool life being exceeded should give you a tool life exceeded or some such alarm.
T-code not commanded is usually indicative that it cannot find the tool in the register.Good luck.Husker.
