Command And Conquer 5
Our collection of games like Command and Conquer (C&C) offers plenty of war based real time strategy games for C&C and Red Alert fans. The original Command and Conquer was one of the early instalments in the real time strategy genre and for many people was their first taste of strategy gameplay. The series has evolved greatly since its early days (first launching in 1995) and has maintained its popularity through many game releases.Despite the large number of games now in the C&C series there are some elements that continue to make an appearance and have become core elements of the franchise.
Most notably is the reliance on parallel storylines that follow the actions of several different factions and their impact on the single storyline. The games that form the Command and Conquer collection also do not touch on the fantasy genre, choosing to keep the game a more realistic war experience. C&C achieves this by pulling units from the past, present and near future of our own world rather than a fantasy one. The Command and Conquer series is also well-known for its use of a side bar UI rather than the traditional horizontal bar used by most other games in the genre. The games like Command and Conquer here all fall into the real time strategy genre with a focus on multiple factions or realistic warfare. You'll also find this page useful if you are searching for games like Red Alert.
Command & Conquer 5 Return of Scrin (MOD EDITION)This MOD is a continuation from Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight.™We all felt like our hearts and souls had been thrown away when the end of the Tiberian Twilight came to be. However, luckily, the CCS MOD Group has come to repair what has been done.By making sense of the events of C&C4; and creating a storyline to fit (as best as is feasibly possible).
Hey, what is the worst that can happen, we make a mess of it and someone else does it better. So, it's full steam ahead for us now as we blow the dust off of an old classic.Taking things back to the beginning with the CCS campaign. Starting with a training exercise to get a feel for Command & Conquer again. The training exercise is based in 1993, two years before the first Tiberian war.
After this you get to complete your first real mission, Operation: PATSUX.For those who played this mission back in 1995, this should be a walk in the park (though not entirely due to some changes made to make things more advanced). For those who didn't play Operation: PATSUX, this may be a new experience. After the first mission is complete, you (as the character) are taken to a first person perspective in which you then choose who to wake up as.You stay with the CCS and you wake up as a family man, David Ashmore, who, in the year 2069 is a Lieutenant commanding officer. David Ashmore is sent an encrypted message ordering him to cover for someone who is off sick. Later you find that the person you were covering for is missing, with no clues as to where he went. You go with GDI and you wake up in a war zone, about to be hit an airstrike your character runs to a desk with a computer.
You're expected to control a few AA Guns manually while redirecting power to and from the AA Guns. Your name (for the first GDI mission) is Private Mark White, which is the brother of Lance Corporal John White. John White is a man with very little to his name and near no prospects for the future. You select NOD and you wake up in a prison cell, then a meal is provided.

Contained within the meal is a bomb designed to assist in your escape. You then find your way out and do everything you need in order to survive.
ISP Increases Costs for Network Coverage So, what does this mean for the CCS MOD Group? This equates to not hearing about any updates until this is resolved and an internet connection is reestablished. This also means that I won't have other matters distracting me either during that time. However, this also means that I am not going to have an internet connection for quite some time. Does this impact those who are waiting for the MOD to be released?Obviously, this does have some impact. However, maybe not as much of an impact for most of you.
There are still public networks can can be used, so updates can be channelled through them. I'm also going to working more on my books (that are connected to the Story-line of the MOD), so you will likely see some glimpses of them. Is the sorting out of my Internet Connection going to be top priority?Honestly, no. The reason for this is because I simply can't afford it right now. I'm about to be slapped with a Disconnection Fee by my current ISP (which I can't afford), so I'm going to be plunged into debt. How much debt, probably a lot.
How far will my ISP go, I have no idea. So, after said Disconnection Fee, there will be the issue about finding a new provider and getting new equipment in the process. How long will there be no internet?Unfortunately, this could be a while. I can't say how long, but it will be a while. I can estimate around about 6 Months or so, but it will likely be longer. This will mess with my income, so I might find myself in deeper problems than what would be initially apparent.
Will the MOD Group still be working even though there is no internet?I will try, yes, I said I. I'm for the most part independent now, so not much of a group.
Command And Conquer New Releases
My internet may be going down, but my efforts will not be going anyway except up. Update on the way.The update will include:EVA5-Installer (Batch File Installer Program, 32-Bit and 64-Bit.)CnC5.exe (The main Launcher for CnC5RS)CnC5 Mod Data (.big and.SkuDef files for CnC5RS)All Cursor Files (.cur and.ani files that the EVA5Installer will put in the correct place)Currently:Final Tests are being conducted for the EVA5 InstallerThe CCS Faction is being finalised at Phase one.The CCS Faction has not got its own units yet, just remodels of GDI units. These act as placeholders while the GDI Mech units are installed.Notes:- Origin Installs are more complicated as they contain CnC3TW and CnC3KW in the same location. We are going to make an Installer to handle Origin Installs.- We will need the full Steam Installation Tree before we can make a dedicated installer for Steam Installations.- The EVA5 Installer uses the C: Drive as the Detection and Installation paths.

If you wish to change the Drive Letter, please use Notepad to Find and Replace all instances of 'C:' and change them to your Drive of choice.- Please also note that the EVA5 Installer will look for Electronic Arts as the Folder to Install to and Detect From. If you installed your game into an alternate Directory, please use Notepad to Find and Replace all 'C:Program FilesElectronic Arts' to wherever your CnC3TW is installed.Release Date:Unconfirmed, pending conclusion of final tests.+1 vote. A Comment Clean-Up will be done shortly for the New Year. For anyone wondering:Q1 - 'Where is the Cursor?' A1 - Please wait for the latest release, it will come with an Batch Installer and install the cursors where they are needed.Q2 - 'What exactly has been added/changed?' A2 - At the moment, mostly Prop Items for wider World Builder Editing. There have been issues involving the New Units spawning properly from New Structures on New Faction. At the moment there is a fully working Kodiak CM94 and a fully working Salamander.
In addition there is a 'half-working' Reckoner (marked with 'TEST UNIT' in its Portrait), it won't crash the game but it don't stay still when deployed, it rotates and the death animation is broken but it won't crash the game.Q3 - 'Where are the new Factions?' A3 - As I said, New Faction Unit Spawns from New Structures are having issues. I am using the CCS Faction as the test Faction for this matter, I am going step-by-step with a fresh attempt.
The new Faction Power Plant works but it won't take the House Colours for some reason (any ideas please say). The new Faction Refinery will Spawn a GDI Harvester but its own Harvester.Q4 - 'When will the new release be available?' A4 - When I can stabilise it enough (to not crash on new Faction) and when my internet stops playing up.Q5 - 'Are you going to give up?' A5 - ABSOLUTELY NOT!See you in 2019 Commanders.+1 vote.
